Intake Module Intake is where the case or complaint for the juvenile is entered. JCS understands the difference between official cases, unofficial cases, and even cases for which the track has not yet been determined. JCS will track who made the referral and how, the police officer involved, county of record, probation office, parole officer, and much more. At the time of intake, the system will take a snapshot of where the juvenile lived, who he/she lived with, last grade completed, current, any prior offense statistics, gang information, and many other pieces of information for statistical. The Intake Module facilitates the assignment of probation officers, hearing officers, assigned judges and court appointed counsel. It also assists in scheduling of cases, adding interested parties, tracking docket entries, and requesting service. Traffic Info is only available if the type of case being entered is a traffic case. The Traffic tab allows you to track the vehicle, license plate details, driver's license, and other related information. Once the case has been entered, you will be prompted to enter the specific charges for the juvenile. JCS allows you to track the original charge, the amended charge, and the final charge. You may track both the arrest location and the location of the offense. Once this information is entered you are ready to schedule the case for a hearing. You can always change captions of any field system-wide, hide any fields you do not want to use, set security by user or group of users on any feels, and change which staff display in staff-oriented dropdowns!
