Electronic Signatures in Butler County Ohio We are pleased to be one of the first software providers in Ohio to have our Electronic Signature Application approved by the state of Ohio. Butler County, Hamilton, Ohio, does everything possible with their computerized software system - Right in the courtroom! They use SoftTec's JCS software for receptionist check-in of all parties that are supposed to be involved in the current case. The judge can tell by looking at his screen if all parties are ready in the waiting area. He can also tell if someone other than scheduled participants are coming in. When all are present in the courtroom, the judge hears the case, delivers the dispositions and electronically signs all necessary papers. Then all forms are printed in the courtroom and handed to the parties as they leave the courtroom. If fees and fines are due because of court costs, or associated with a disposition, they are spelled out on the documents as well. Then the parties owing any money go directly to the clerk's window, pay their fees and fines and are printed a receipt. All this handled in one visit and no expense or time wasted on mailing documents. We are proud of this installation and this is only one way we have helped our customers better use their time and speed up the court and payment process.
